How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become a Fitness & Health Coach?
Let me share with you the defining moment that brought me where I am today - coaching people like you on exactly what to do to empower and strengthen your body and spirit after the stress and anxiety that comes from living after family members who go through major illnesses. That defining moment happened for me when my kids were small and we were visiting the happiest place on earth: Disney World.

Cancer runs in my family and I was exhausted, stressed and feeling so unhealthy and scared of this. I knew that my overall unhealthy feelings reflected in my poor attitude-- even at Disney World with my kids! I also knew that my unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, being so busy, and my negative mindset were not good contributors to my health.

I wanted to feel good and full of energy for my kids for a long time. It was just challenging.

Both of my parents died from cancer. And it struck me hard.

But, it fueled me to learn about cancer and other major illnesses and why a healthy lifestyle is important to staying healthy. My mother had breast cancer at 38 and died when she was 42. She lived 4 years on a few month diagnosis. She was a fighter. Her desire to be with us more, move into a better neighborhood and prepare as much as she could a life without her fueled her. She even bought my 2 sisters and I our wedding present!  

I was 8 when she died.

My father got kidney cancer when he was 52, which isn’t too bad because we have two kidneys and there’s a high survivability rate. Then, we found out he had a rare disorder where he was born with only one kidney. He didn’t want all the chemotherapy and radiation that my mother had because he saw how hard that was. I think he gave up a bit. Life, parenting, and running his own law practice challenged him after losing my mom, the love of this life. We convinced him to try experimental drugs and for a while they seemed to work. However, the cancer came back and in full force. He died when I was 19, a freshman at Indiana University and less than 3 years after his cancer was first diagnosed.  

My mother’s sister Ronnie also died from pancreatic cancer shortly after my mom passed.  

So, at age 19, I was orphaned. I set out on my journey of being “spiritually raised” and learning as much as I could to feel my best to live a long vibrant life despite the cancer in my family.

When I returned from that fateful Disney World trip, after that eye opening experience of being unhappy, unhealthy, and scared of losing my children, I decided that exercise, healthy eating and meditation were going to be a big part of my life. I became a certified fitness instructor and started teaching indoor cycling, something that I knew if I’d do on a regular basis I would stay fit and relieve my stress.  

Since then, I got certified to teach yoga, mindfulness, strength training, and aqua fit classes. I’ve taken countless online and live wellness workshops for women. I became certified through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) so that I could work with people who want to improve their health through healthy eating. I joined a company so that I can provide my clients the best non-toxic skin and home care products. I’ve seen how all my clients improve their exercise, eating, and mindset so that they feel empowered and strengthened.

I’ve worked with hundreds of women who want to live a healthy and strong life, despite any and all illnesses that in their family and I’ve lived my dream of feeling my best and most strength and power -- even when I have that annual physical check up or learn of another loved one diagnosed with cancer.  


Badass Healthy Women Signature Program
It is with all my experience, I created the Badass Healthy Women Signature Program that includes a series of steps for women to take so they achieve their optimal wellness through a healthy lifestyle. The Badass Healthy Women is a 90 day program that gives people who are 100% excited and serious about transforming into a healthy lifestyle to give them the best chance to avoid major illnesses themselves.  

This means not running around all day without enough time to exercise, not eating a healthy diet or staying positive. The program gives you easy do-able steps for you to put in place within a few months (sometimes weeks!) which eventually lead you to a vibrant and empowered life.

Being a busy woman who values health myself, I’m known to work best with others who are committed to their success no matter what and who are super-ready to get going and just want to know what steps to take to transform to a healthy lifestyle.

My clients often tell me - “just tell me what to do and I’ll do it!”  

Consider what you’ll do with me to be a high-octane crash course on everything you need to know to live that lifestyle that gives you the tools for prevention! You’ll be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore, just a very different way of thinking and full support while you achieve this incredibly exciting and important goal: transforming your health to strength and empowerment!

Please know I am very selective in who I work with and I cherry-pick my clients, choosing (gently) to turn away people who are not suited for my program and won’t get the results they would have signed up for (it would not be fair to them).  

The Badass Healthy Women program is not for those who aren’t serious about changing their lifestyle. It’s been my experience that people who are not committed to their health do not trust the recommendations I give them, and do not do the work.  

If you fall into this category, it’s ok. Many people think and want to be committed to their health but are not ready to make the necessary changes. If this is you, do yourself 3 favors:

  • Sign up for my Facebook Group Badass Healthy Women Community. This free information will get you started towards your goals until you are ready to work with me one-on-one.
  • Make a point to read my blogs, which will give you a lot of health and wellness to think about and act on!
  • Watch important documentaries like “The Game Changers” and “Forks over Knives.”
Doing these 3 things will really help you get primed for our work. When you are ready, call me and we’ll get you started. (I’m in no rush and will be here when you need me). Other types of personalities I do not work with (without exception) are the whiner or the chronic skeptic -- as well as individuals who constantly make excuses for not getting their assignments done or challenging every aspect of the program. If you are one of those, I gently and respectively ask that you do not call and I hope you understand why.

Although we will occasionally touch upon time management and other important factors to living a healthy life, you have me as an online health coach. I work on inner and outer principles of living a healthy life and because we are all bio-individuals, we work within my program’s system with a personalized touch to fit you. 

I also work with a spiritual perspective. What that means is that you get a health coach who will help you see how your personal energy is an extension of your health. While I am spiritual -- I am also very practical and will be looking for you to get your work done.  

Because time is so important, I don’t tiptoe with small talk that fills space. Instead you’ll get a straight to the point and honest response from me that upholds your healthy lifestyle.

That depends on how quickly you can make those inner shifts. Some clients are ready to go and create and stick to their new healthy habits in a very short time frame, sometimes even a few weeks while others have a bit more work to do first. It also depends on how much of a shift you need in your life to live a healthy lifestyle.

Do all of your homework. Be totally committed to your success. Understand that this is a process, a proven one, that works if you take action and implement all of the steps.
